Voter Politician Tool
The newly released voter politician tool is a great to view unbiased information directly from your presidential candidates, updated each election.
Usually in political data, you’re stuck between two extremes.
On one side, you have outdated government files, unintuitive documents buried in archives that are almost impossible to navigate on a phone. On the other side, you have partisan biased news channels that wrap every statistic in a layer of "spin," telling you how to feel about a number before you even see the number itself.
I wanted to build a bridge between raw official data and the modern user experience.
Today, I’m launching the Voter Politician Tool
The Problem: Fragmented Facts
During the 2024 cycle, I noticed a troubling trend: people were arguing over "facts" that were easily verifiable, simply because the source data was too hard to find.
The Media Problem: News outlets often cherry-pick margins to fit a narrative.
The Accessibility Problem: The FEC (Federal Election Commission) holds the "Golden Record," but their delivery methods aren't exactly user-friendly for a quick mobile check.
My Solution: Direct Data Integration
I designed this platform with a "Logic Over Label" philosophy. By pulling directly from the certified results, I’ve removed the middleman.
Raw Stats, No Commentary: Want to see the popular vote? You’ll see the ~77 million for Trump and ~74 million for Harris exactly as they were certified. No editorializing.
A "Mobile-First" FEC Experience: I’ve taken the data from those "impossible" PDFs and transformed it into a searchable, responsive state-by-state table. You can see at a glance that Pennsylvania was decided by a razor-thin 0.3%, while DC swung by a staggering 86.8%.
Side-by-Side Policy Comparison: Instead of listening to a pundit tell you what a candidate believes, I’ve compiled their actual stated platforms. Whether it’s the Democratic push for a $15 minimum wage or the Republican "USA Iron Dome" proposal, you can read the actual policies side-by-side.
Built for Speed and Transparency
I chose to build this on a serverless stack (Cloudflare Workers) for a specific reason: speed is a form of transparency. If a site is slow or crashes during peak interest, that's a barrier to information. This tool is lightweight, secure, and—most importantly—built to give you the data you need in seconds, not minutes.
"Information is the currency of democracy. My goal was simply to make sure that currency is easy to spend."
See the Truth for Yourself
Don't take my word for it—or anyone else's. Explore the official maps, check the margins in your home state, and read the policy Hub for yourself.
